Dr. George Kut

Dr. Dr. George Kut is a highly accomplished professional with extensive expertise in conflict analysis, participatory research, and peacebuilding spanning over 26 years. He holds a PhD in International Studies and Social Sciences from Coventry University, UK, and a Master’s in Peace and Reconciliation Studies from the same institution. His academic background is complemented by numerous professional courses in research design, project management, gender and human rights, and strategic evaluation, underscoring his commitment to evidence-based policy development and program implementation.

Dr. Kut’s career highlights include serving as a lead consultant for various high-profile projects across Africa, including with UN agencies, government bodies, NGOs, and academic institutions. Notable achievements include leading the assessment and development of ministerial performance reports in Kenya, evaluating community-led CVE projects, and capacity building for mediation structures in IGAD member states. His work also extends to designing and facilitating training programs on conflict sensitivity, gender-responsive reporting, and peacebuilding, aimed at journalists, government officials, and civil society organizations across East Africa.

In addition to his consulting roles, Dr. Kut has been instrumental in policy development, contributing to national peacebuilding strategies, gender-inclusive policies, and conflict management frameworks. His contributions range from supporting the development of Uganda’s National Peacebuilding Policy to advising on conflict early warning mechanisms within the East African Community. His dedication to inclusive development is evident in his work with marginalized communities, advocating for disability inclusion in governance and fostering grassroots peacebuilding initiatives in conflict-affected regions.
